Common Causes Of Excessive Hair Fall During Monsoon

On average, an individual loses about 50-100 strands every day. But in monsoons, one might experience excessive hair fall. This is because the humidity in the air robs the natural oils from the scalp making it dry. Other consequences of humidity include:

  • The polluted rainwater infects the scalp as it comes with bacteria and microorganisms.
  •  Moisture on the scalp can raise the risk of fungal infections, weakening hair roots that cause hair fall.
  • Generally, the initial rain is acid rain because it brings down the pollutants from the air, thus weakening your locks.
  • Using a hair dryer frequently for drying your hair can cause frizzy hair.
