We follow many diets for weight loss, weight gain, and bodybuilding. However, some diets are crucial to follow to increase the longevity of organs; one is the lung detox diet.

Day 1  

Early morning-  1 glass of fenugreek water.

Lunch-  Bajra roti with sabji and dal

Dinner-  Dal with jeera rice and salad

Day 4

Early morning-  Warm lemon and mint water with chia seeds

Breakfast-  Mix vegetable cheela with green chutney

Mid snacks-  Pineapple  

Lunch- Toor dal khichdi with kachumber and plain curd 

Afternoon- Green tea/ herbal tea (tulsi and cinnamon)

Evening Snacks- Kidney bean salad 

Dinner- Fish curry+ plain brown rice, and carrot salad

Recipe For Magic Tea For Lung Detox

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon stick- 1, small
  • Ginger- 1 inch 
  • Basil leaves- 5-6 nos
  • Black pepper- 2-3 nos
  • Oregano- 1tsp
  • Fennel seeds- ¼ tsp
  • Elaichi- 1, crushed
  • Jeera- ¼ tsp
  • Ajwain- ¼ tsp

Preparation Method

1. Mix cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, basil leaves, fennel seeds, ajwain, jeera and elaichi in 1 ½ cups water. 

2. Let it boil until the water reduces to half.  Add honey and drink after sieving.  

3. You can add oregano 2 minutes before switching off the gas. (As oregano has a strong flavour, the drink will soak the flavour)

Whole wheat, rice flakes, oats, brown rice, sabudana, buckwheat, kodo, foxtail, and finger millets. 

 

Note: These cereals help lower constipation and do not cause indigestion.

Note: It increases the intensity of lung symptoms.

Fruits

Avocado, sugarcane, pomegranate, muskmelon, apple, papaya. 

Watermelon, apricots, peaches, grapes.

Dairy Products

Low-fat milk with turmeric. Turmeric milk is anti-inflammatory in nature which is great for detoxing the lungs and lowering inflammation.

Cheese, curd, whole milk, full-fat yoghurt.

Pulses

Tuvar dal, yellow moong dal, lentils, and horse gram.

Kidney beans, chickpeas, urad dal. 

 

Drinks

Pomegranate juice, carrot juice, soups, and herbal tea.

Alcohol, squashes, carbonated beverages, whole milk, and sugary drinks.

 

Spices

Fennel, black pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, rock salt, fenugreek, coriander leaves, and mint.

Pumpkin seeds, raisins, soaked almonds, and flaxseeds.

  • Do at least 20-30 minutes of pranayama daily to increase the airflow in the lungs.
