1. It Keeps You Hydrated All The Time

The most important benefit of any summer drink is hydration. It will keep you well-hydrated and prevent side effects like fatigue, headaches and even heatstroke. Although water is the most appreciated fluid, you can also try cool summer drinks to replenish your body.

When you sweat, you lose more than just water. You also lose electrolytes, minerals that help your body function properly. Drinks like coconut water, buttermilk (lassi), and certain commercial electrolyte drinks can help you replace lost electrolytes.

These are the basic requirements of our body as they help regulate various bodily functions. You get a good boost of vitamins and minerals when you make fresh juices using fruits and veggies or simply blend them to get smoothies.

Some cool summer drinks can also help with weight management. Iced green tea is a natural appetite suppressant that can help burn calories. Lemonade can also help with weight management, but it's important to limit the amount of sugar you add.

Dietitian’s Recommendation

As a dietitian, I recommend staying hydrated this summer with refreshing drinks like cucumber-mint-infused water, unsweetened iced tea, or coconut water. Avoid sugary sodas and opt for natural fruit juices in moderation. Remember that hydration is key for overall health and well-being, especially in hot weather.
