What Is Miscarriage? 

Abortion, medically known as spontaneous miscarriage, refers to a miscarriage that occurs before the 20th week of pregnancy. This condition is so common that it is estimated that 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage. 1. Pineapple

Pineapple is not recommended during pregnancy because it contains bromelain, which can loosen the uterine muscles and potentially induce early labour. It's best to avoid pineapple and pineapple juice unless your doctor recommends it.

2. Papaya 

It's believed that unripe papaya (green in colour) contains enzymes that can cause uterine contractions and possibly lead to a miscarriage. If you're pregnant, it's best to avoid unripe papaya. However, if your dietician or gynaecologist recommends it, you may consume ripe papaya in moderation.

3. Aloe Vera

Its juice contains elements that can cause stomach bleeding in pregnant women, cause uterine bleeding, and increase the risk of miscarriage. These medications, including anthraquinones, can act as laxatives and cause uterine contractions during pregnancy.

4. Drum stick  

Its leaves are rich in calcium, vitamin C, potassium, and iron. However, since the plant contains a substance called alpha-sitosterol, it is considered a dangerous food for pregnant women. It works like female estrogen, softening the uterine muscles and putting women at risk of miscarriage. 

5. Peach  

Another food that may cause miscarriage is peaches, as they increase the risk of bleeding. The hair of the shell of this sweet fruit is especially dangerous. It usually causes burning and itching in the throat, but it can also be hazardous, such as miscarriage.  

6. Sprouted Potatoes 

Sprouted potatoes contain a chemical called solanine, which is produced when the potatoes are exposed to light and begin to sprout. High levels of solanine can be dangerous, especially during pregnancy time, as it can increase the risk of miscarriage. 

7. Caffeine 

You should consume caffeine in moderation whenever possible. If you are addicted to caffeine, it can cause problems for your baby and can also cause low birth weight or miscarriage.

8. Fenugreek Seeds / Methi Dana  

These seeds, also called methi dana, can help warm the body, regulate periods, and balance hormones. But too much can cause uterine contractions, so it's best to consume them in moderation. 

9. Sesame Seeds 

Pregnant women should not eat sesame, as it may cause miscarriage. This is because mixing honey and sesame together can cause miscarriage. However, black sesame can be eaten in the last few weeks of pregnancy, as it helps with birth.
