Try this healthy and protein-rich walnut and khajoor ladoo recipe to serve your guests before beginning the kite-flying challenge! 


Ingredients

Walnuts

1 cup

Deseeded dates (khajoor)

3/4 cup

Ghee

1 1/2 spoon

Instructions

  • Chop the walnuts and deseed the dates. 

  • Heat a pan on medium flame and fry the chopped walnuts until they turn golden brown. Remove the pan from heat and let the walnuts cool down. 

  • After this, take the blender jar and spread 1/2 teaspoon of ghee in it again. 

  • To prepare this recipe, take a blender jar and spread 1/2 teaspoon of ghee so that the dates don't stick to the jar. 

  • Add the chopped dates to the jar and blend them coarsely. 

  • Then, add the chopped walnuts to the jar and blend them coarsely, too. 

  • Once done, take out the blended mixture on a plate and divide it into six equal portions. 

  • Knead the portions well and make small balls out of them. 

  • You can serve these balls immediately or store them in an airtight container for up to a week. Enjoy!

2. Try This Must Have Sesame (Til) Laddu


Jaggery is used instead of sugar as it has superior health benefits. This recipe can be prepared as per your taste and can be served as a snack or a dessert after a meal. It is also beneficial for people trying to lose weight as it helps to control hunger while providing the body with all the necessary nutrients.


Ingredients

Peanuts

½ cup

Sesame seeds (Til)

½ cup

Almonds

8-10 nos

Pistachios

8-10 nos

Sunflower seeds

2 tablespoon

Pumpkin seeds

2 tablespoon

Dry coconut

½ cup, grated

Anjeer

2, chopped

Dates

2, chopped

Cardamom powder

¼, tablespoon

Jaggery

1 ½ cup

Water

Preparation Method

  • Firstly, take a thick-bottomed pan and add ½ cup of peanuts to it.

  • Now, roast peanuts on low flame until they turn crunchy and golden in colour.

  • Let them cool down completely, and blend to a coarse powder.

  • Transfer the blended peanut powder to a bowl and keep it aside.

  • Take a pan and roast ½ cup of sesame.

  • Roast until the sesame turns aromatic and starts to pop out.

  • Cool the sesame completely, and then blend to a coarse powder.

  • Transfer the sesame powder to the same large bowl and keep it aside.

  • Now, take 2 tablespoons of almonds and 2 tablespoons of pistachios and roast until they turn crunchy.

  • Also, add 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds and 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds and roast them well.

  • Let it cool down completely, and blend it to a coarse powder.

  • Transfer the nut powder to the same bowl and keep it aside.

  • Now, take ½ cup of dry coconut and roast it on a low flame.

  • Transfer the roasted coconut to the large bowl.

  • Also, add 2 anjeer, 2 dates, ¼ tablespoons of cardamom powder and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Take a large kadai and add 1½ cup of jaggery and ¼ cup water.

  • Stir and boil until the jaggery syrup gets thick in consistency.

  • Now, add the prepared protein powder mix, and the mixture will start to get thick after a minute.

  • Transfer the mixture to a large plate. Allow it to cool slightly; this will give shape to the mixture. 

  • Now, start making laddus in the size of your choice.

  • Finally, enjoy protein balls for a month by storing them in an airtight container.
