How To Prepare Sattu Powder At Home?

Sattu powder refers to roasted chickpeas or chana dal that have been finely ground. It is also available in several mixes, such as wheat sattu, barley sattu, etc.

  • Take 2 cups chana dal, thoroughly rinsed with water. 
  • Cook it in 3 cups of water for 6 to 8 minutes or until soft and mushy.
  • Drain the water and transfer the daal to a bowl.
  • Wrap the boiled chana dal in clay wrap and set aside for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Then, spread it out on a cotton sheet and let it dry for 3 to 4 hours in the shade.
  • Cook the dried chana dal for 45 minutes on low heat.
  • Grind the chana dal. You can make the powder as fine or coarse as you like.
