      Amla-A Treasure of Health Benefits

    • The name Amla has been derived from the Sanskrit word “Meraki”, which means “Nectar of Life”. 

      Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry or Emblica is a treasure of nutrients & medicinal values. The fruit has been mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic texts.

      Did you know the Amla fruit is high in carbohydrates, protein, cholesterol, dietary fibre, folates, niacin, thiamin, pantothenic acid, vitamin A, vitamin C, pyridoxine, riboflavin, sodium, calcium, potassium, copper, zinc, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, and iron?

      A hundred grams of 2 raw Amla contains 300 mg of vitamin C. A lemon, on the other hand, has 77 milligrams of vitamin C per 100 grams of fruit. Amla offers more vitamin C than oranges.
