Well, what if I say I have a remedy for you that will give you this lustrous hair with many other benefits like lowering the chance of hair fall, premature greying and baldness?

So, here it is; none other than red onion and its juice.

Red onion has sulphur which is responsible for curing hair fall and promotes the growth of new hair follicles, which makes the hair thicker by boosting the hair growth antioxidant catalase. 

The red onion's sulphur also helps promote collagen, reducing hair thinning.

Red Onion Juice For Hair Fall

1. Take 1 big red onion, chop it into pieces and blend it in a mixture with little water if required.

2. Then sieve this juice with the muslin cloth and use the cotton to apply it to the scalp.

3. Let it stay, and then wash it.

4. You can use this red onion juice twice weekly for good results.

5. Make sure to use fresh juice every time, which contains loads of sulphur and other nutrients which benefit the hair.

6. Apply the red onion juice to the hair. It will boost the blood flow to the hair follicles, improving growth.

7. In one study by the journal of dermatology, individuals who applied and washed their hair with onion juice had more hair growth than those who had not.

Onion And Coconut Oil For Hair Loss

If you are not ready to apply natural red onion juice on the scalp, there is another way to use red onion: making a hair oil that is very easy and convenient to use and has a good shelf life. 

Ingredients

  • Red onion- 1, chopped
  • Coconut oil or any oil of your choice- 1 cup
  • Castor oil- 1/3 cup

Preparation Method

1. Take a steel bowl, add the coconut oil and let it heat on low flame (as coconut oil starts boiling fast).

2. Now add the chopped red onion into the coconut oil and let the mixture boil on sim until the red onion turns brown. This way, all the red onion juice has been emulsified in the coconut oil properly.

3. Remove the vessel from the gas and let it cool a little bit and then add the castor oil and mix well. Let the oil sit for an hour and then store it properly in the glass jar or bottle.

4. Store it for a month, and then you can make it again if needed.

5. Apply this oil twice or thrice on the hair per your requirement to get the best results. 

NOTE: You can also add some curry leaves along with the onion to boost hair growth, and also you can add some essential oil to it when it gets adequately cooled or at the time of application.
